Time to do strength building exercises for our TV remote channel changing finger because the Fall Season blasts into full swing this week.

The dwindling of scripted dramas continues, but a few worth tuning in to made it through the programming gauntlet. One worth watching is ABC's "Revenge", about a daughter seeking to payback those she holds responsible for her father's death, on Wednesday's at 10 and critics be darned, "The Secret Circle", mystery in a small town when a coven of teen witches experiment with their new found powers, on the WB will get another looksee this week.

Of course, we have to state the obvious when it comes to new series. The networks have no regard for the time viewers invest watching any of their shows, so be prepared for itchy cancellation trigger fingers.

One strategy we have developed is to stockpile on TiVo the first several episodes of a new series and not to waste time watching until we know the show will remain on the air for the season.

We hate to conclude on a sad note but we are in mourning for the loss of Jax Teller's hair on "Sons of Anarchy"! Not since Keri Russell sheared her locks on "Felicity" and effectively killed that show for viewers has a lead actor's haircut been so ill advised! Someone needs to get that bad boy some hair extensions, PRONTO!
